Get to know us
The Aguateques is a band of Vilanovan versions that is characterized by having a live show of 2:30 hours of pure energy on stage. A high-quality live show, produced by GAMBEAT, bassist for the legendary MANU CHAO and producer of groups like LA PEGATINA, makes The Aguateques a unique, dynamic and special group.
With a careful staging that mixes visual and musical spectacle, the quality of its components and a wide repertoire in potpourri format, from the most classic songs to current electro-Latin, through Ska, Rock, Funk, Rumba Catalana, always with their characteristic style, the Aguateques stand out from what other cover groups offer, marking a strong own style which has made them successfully tour all of Catalonia, the western part of the country and Andorra. Nothing is the same after a concert of theirs.

THE AGUATEQUES HISTORY
The birth of a legend
Legend has it that there are moments in life when a small decision can change the course of history. That there are situations in which a higher energy guides the human spirit towards reason, beauty and truth. That everything happens for a reason, and that, as if it were a script already written, this concatenation of acts that we call life happens inevitably, impossible to be otherwise. This is our story.
It was the summer of 2008. Among the smoke of barbecues, cold beers and other legal drugs, a group of friends uttered the phrase that would forever change the course of Spain: "Why don't we have the balls to form a group of versions among ourselves?"
This “among us” referred to the union of two already existing projects: a heavy metal group and a blues one. From this explosive mix, The Aguateques was born, with no more pretension than bringing together teenagers covering songs completely far removed from their original styles.
The long lethargy
The years passed between private concerts, weddings, neighborhood parties, massive performances and legendary hangovers. The personal situation of each member caused the project to be parked, floating without a fixed direction. It seemed like the end of the story… but there was still much left to write.
The awakening
In 2016 something happened. A shock. A strange moment awakened inside each one, a murmur, a nameless sensation. The time had come. The conditions were perfect, so The Aguateques resurfaced with more strength than ever: with a female singer as leader —something unprecedented to date in groups from Catalonia—, a wind and Latin percussion section, a fierce commitment to live 100% music and a powerful touch of rock and roll as their calling card.
The ascension
Since 2016, the trajectory was an unstoppable takeoff… until a global pandemic decimated the project's waterline. Those were tough times. But the group stayed together and came back stronger than ever. Proof of this: the almost 40 concerts of their Summer Beach Tour 2023, touring Catalonia, Valencia, Aragon and Andorra, now with a second singer in the lineup and a live show produced by Gambeat (Manu Chao's bassist and Adhesiu producer), achieving a unique musical spectacle.
The success did not go unnoticed by promoters and management agencies, who began knocking on their door. After arduous deliberations, at the end of 2023, The Aguateques announced their incorporation into Exits Management, a leading agency in the Catalan scene, responsible for artists such as Oques Grasses, Els Catarres or Stay Homas.
The conquest
The year 2024 marked the definitive confirmation of the band as a benchmark in the Catalan version circuit, consolidating and expanding borders during the Tsunami Tour 2024, which led them to also conquer Castile and Madrid.
The present and the future
Thus we arrive at 2025. Nonconformists by nature, obsessed with always offering something unique, The Aguateques present their Tic Tac Tour 2025, a tour designed to make all the senses vibrate: every ray of light, every musical note, every gram of confetti is designed with a single objective: to offer the audience something they have never seen and make them enjoy the best live music like never before.
