The band

DANI, ”Danito” – DRUMS

Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, he founded a heavy metal band in the 1980s. Legend has it that during a concert in Japan, he had a divine apparition that made him rethink his existence. He left the band and retired to Tibet for a spiritual retreat.

Years later, living as a Buddhist monk in a monastery in Garraf, he discovered the secret of happiness and learned to master the art of tantric sex. Finally, he decides to join the project The Aguateques. It is recommended that no one approach him: he is capable of selling you anything, even getting your soul.

PAU, “Currito” – GUITAR

Raised on a tobacco plantation in Alabama, he learned at a very young age to play the blues with his Southern friends on banjo and guitar. After the abolition of slavery, he decided
move to Russia, where he sets up a vodka distillery and a caviar factory. After
drinking the entire production, he is recruited by The Aguateques, who promise to rehabilitate him
completely handing out flow and rumba. He knows Russian and has a doctorate in aboriginal pastry.

IÑIGO, “Mongo” – BASS

Born into a noble family in El Bierzo, he was raised in the jungle by a group of gorillas after suffering a plane crash. At the age of 24 he was discovered by explorers, who managed to convince him to return to civilization. Once there, he played ACB until he broke his toenail, which ended his professional career. Bored in his mansion, he began playing bass as a hobby, until he read the advertisement for The Aguateques in the classifieds section of Interviú.

XENIA – SINGER

After the cruise ship she was traveling on with her family crashed, she was adopted as a baby by an Amazonian tribe. Between shamanic rituals and cannibalism, she was instructed in vocal art, native song and ethnic flow. At the age of 16, following the living story of Pocahontas, she was rescued by an English soldier with the last name Disney. This young man taught her all the familiar melodies in existence, from Snow White to Frozen. At the age of 20 she decided to give up her career as a geneticist, leave everything behind and accept a job as a singer for The Aguateques after seeing her advertisement in a line of erotic products.

JULIA – SINGER

Secret daughter of Gloria Estefan and Ricky Martin, descendant of a bourgeois Catalan family that owned an industrial colony by the Llobregat River, she spent her childhood listening to the melodies of the factory workers and learning to weave on a mechanical loom. Due to an anarchist revolt, she was forced to emigrate to Cuba, where the family had a sugar plantation and was engaged in the rum trade. There she graduated with honors in the reggaeton singing career and obtained an honors degree in twerking at the University of Havana. Later, she returned to Spain as a singer in postmodern shows and a Christmas figure in her hometown, but after a raid she ended up in prison. It was there that the social reintegration program offered her two options: to become a deputy in Congress or to sing for The Aguateques. The rest is history.

POLE – SAXO

Raised among factories and chimneys of Baix Llobregat, Pol learned to play the saxophone from a young age, where he brightened up the hard working days of the workers in exchange for bacon sandwiches and sincere applause. Free-spirited and an incorrigible music lover, one day he decides to embark on the Camino de Santiago, becoming the only person to have completed the route sleeping exclusively in jazz bars. After years of sonic pilgrimage, he ends up at The Aguateques, where he mixes his street swing with the band's unstoppable flow, elevating each concert to an epic party of legendary proportions.

PEACE – TRUMPET

A nobleman from Girona, whose genetic roots go back to Saint George himself. He was born in a medieval house in Besalú, where he grew up in an environment far removed from any Castilian influence.
As a child he entered the choir of the Girona Cathedral and the Basilica of Sant Feliu, where he eventually became the first lectern. In his adolescence he had to choose between castration to maintain his beautiful white voice or the trumpet, a noble instrument with similar high notes. It is not known for certain what he chose, but over the years he graduated with honors in higher studies in trumpet, with the triangle as a second instrument. He joined The Aguateques after seeing its advertisement in erotic pages of dubious content. Today, he still does not know if civilization exists beyond the Tordera.

JESÚS, “Chuy” – TROMBONE

Raised among bongos, maracas and salsa brava in the heart of Barranquilla, Chuy was fed fried plantains and trombone solos from a young age. His sonic power made the hips of half a continent move. He traveled all over Latin America mounted on a truck of tropical fruits, making squares and carnivals vibrate with the sound of a trombone and Caribbean sweat. Until, at a crowded concert in Rio, he moved his hips so much that one of them dislocated. He had to retire to his ranch in Vilanova i la Geltrú to recover, where he met The Aguateques. Together they managed to fuse the hottest rhythms of the tropics with the hardest rock of the Vallès. Since then, if you don't dance with him... you're dead inside.

PEACE – PERCUSSION

Created in a laboratory in Matanzas (Cuba) from patches of dead percussionists, legend has it that he challenged Phil Collins himself to a drum duel in a Las Vegas casino, after going there to spend a prize from the National Lottery. After three weeks of intense duel, he lost. Fed up, humiliated and forgotten, this percussionist wandered the world trying to find meaning in his existence and recover the lost salsa-merengón flow, until he saw the advertisement for The Aguateques on the door of the ATM where he slept and understood that this was the opportunity he had been waiting for.
